Kick off your morning like a local with traditional Yucatecan breakfast tacos. Taste the classics such as cochinita pibillechón, or other regional favoriteseach bite rich in flavor and tradition. To refresh, we’ll stop at one of Valladolid’s most beloved ice cream shops for a handmade paleta or aguas frescas made with the local fruits.

Next, we’ll indulge in some of the best tacos de asada in town. Topped with fresh pico de gallo and tasty guacamole, these tacos are a true crowd favorite and a perfect lead-in to our next stop: the vibrant local market.

Discover one of the region’s most beloved antojitos: freshly made empanadas. Filled with delicious options like Oaxaca cheese or the very popular and most used queso de bola, this stop is not only about flavor—you’ll also learn about the rich dairy and cheese traditions of the Yucatán.

Arrive at the local market, a feast for the senses. Wander through colorful stalls filled with spices, fresh produce, and exotic fruits. Here, we’ll enjoy fruit tasting while experiencing the daily rhythm of local families and the local vendorsAnd still hungry? So, yesthere’s more food! Try a classic taco placero with crispy chicharra or Valladolid-style longaniza.

We’ll wrap up our delicious journey at the market, located right next to the amazing cenote Zací in the heart of town. From here, you’re free to continue exploring, perhaps take a refreshing swim in the cenote or wander through the market for local treats and souvenirs.
